A series of positive choices, compounded over time, presents you with the opportunity to be successful. Say it with me. Success is a series of disciplined choices, compounded over time. It’s never too late to start but always too late to wait. The truth is, what you do today matters. What you do every day matters. Successful people just do the things that seem to make no difference in the act of doing them, and they do them over and over until the compound effect kicks in.
What this means to me is getting back into shape. I let excuses like “I work to much” and “I don’t have time” and “I am out with friends/family/school” whatever it is, stop me from working out consistently. I went to the gym, worked out a few times, stepped on the scale, and didn’t lose any weight. I wanted to quit right there. I felt so much frustration and didn’t know what to do. Can you blame me?
I started reading the slight edge, and with disciplined decisions, and the help of real results, I’ve dropped 25 pounds in 6 weeks. Don’t stop going for your dreams, and keep on taking little steps each day to your goals. Luck is preparedness – period.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
The challenge is, every action that is easy to do, is also easy not to do. By the time you see the results, or get feedback for your work, the real work is already done.
